Bracelet Size Guide

Find Your Perfect Bracelet Size

Wrist sizes vary based on bone structure, weight, and personal preference. Whether you prefer a snug bangle or a relaxed chain bracelet, this guide will help you find the right fit from home.

Average Bracelet Sizes

Wrists are not all the same size. We always recommend measuring your own wrist before ordering, especially for bangles and rigid cuffs where a precise fit matters most.

As a general guide, the average women's wrist measures around 16–17cm and the finished bracelet is typically worn at 18cm to allow for comfortable movement. For men, the average wrist is around 18–19cm with bracelets worn at around 20cm.

Measure Your Wrist

Use a flexible tape measure or a strip of paper to measure around your wrist just below the wrist bone. Once you have your wrist measurement, add the ease below to find your ideal bracelet length.

Steps
1.Wrap a flexible tape measure or paper strip snugly around your wrist, just below the wrist bone
2.Note the measurement in centimetres where the tape meets itself
3.Add 1–2 cm for a comfortable fit on a chain or tennis bracelet
4.For bangles, measure around the widest part of your hand (knuckles) when fingers are together — this is the minimum diameter needed to slide the bangle on

Bangle vs Chain Bracelet

Bangle / Rigid Cuff

A bangle is a solid circular bracelet with no clasp. To find the right size, you need to measure the circumference of your hand at its widest point — fingers held together — since the bangle must slide over the knuckles.

Tip: Measure the widest part of your hand, not your wrist.
Chain / Tennis Bracelet

Chain and tennis bracelets have a clasp and wrap around the wrist loosely. You only need your wrist circumference plus 1–2cm of ease. The bracelet should move freely but not slip off.

Tip: If between sizes, go larger — a slightly loose bracelet is more comfortable.

Tips for Measuring

Measure in the evening
Your wrists, like your fingers, are slightly larger at the end of the day. Measure then for the most accurate result.
Tennis bracelet: go larger
For tennis and chain bracelets, measure just above your wrist bone and add at least 1.5cm. It should rest comfortably, not grip.
Bangle: measure your hand
For bangles, close your fingers together and measure around the widest point of your hand. This is the minimum diameter the bangle must pass over.
Wide bands fit tighter
A wide bangle will feel tighter than a narrow one even at the same diameter. If the band is 8mm or wider, go up one size.
Measure 2–3 times
Take two or three measurements and use the largest reading. Small positioning differences can change the result.
Different wrists differ
Your dominant wrist is often slightly larger. Always measure the wrist you intend to wear the bracelet on.
