Common Ring Sizes
Choosing the right size online can be tricky, especially when buying a surprise gift. If you are not sure of the exact size, it is always better to order slightly larger — rings are easier to resize down than up.
The average ring size for women falls between US 5 and US 7 (diameter 15.7mm – 17.3mm). The average for men falls between US 9 and US 11 (diameter 18.9mm – 20.6mm).

Measure an Existing Ring
This is the easiest and most accurate method. Take a ring that already fits the correct finger well and place it flat on a ruler.
Steps
1.Place the ring on a flat surface
2.Measure the internal diameter in millimetres — the distance across the inside of the band
3.Find that measurement in the Diameter column of the size chart below
4.If between two sizes, always choose the larger one

Measure Your Finger
Use a thin strip of paper or a piece of string to measure the circumference of your finger directly.
Steps
1.Cut a thin strip of paper approximately 5mm wide
2.Wrap it snugly around the base of the finger you want to wear the ring on
3.Mark where the paper meets itself
4.Lay the paper flat against a ruler and measure the length in millimetres
5.Find that measurement in the Circumference column of the size chart below

Tips for Measuring Ring Size
Measure in the evening
Your fingers are at their largest at the end of the day. Avoid measuring in the morning or when your hands are cold.
Between two sizes?
Always choose the larger size. A ring that is slightly loose is far easier to resize than one that is too tight.
Wide bands need more room
If ordering a band 6mm wide or more, go up half a size. Wider bands sit higher on the finger and feel tighter.
Measure 3 to 4 times
Repeat each measurement a few times and take the average. Small differences in technique can affect the result.
Right hand vs left hand
Ring sizes can differ between hands. Always measure the specific finger you plan to wear the ring on.
Knuckle larger than base?
Measure both the knuckle and the base and choose a size between the two for the most comfortable fit.
